The welcome story
Chapters fronted by villagers in town, each teaching one system in their own words. It is the intended way to learn the server, and it pays as you go.
How it works
- Find the villager you are pointed at and right-click them.
- An arrow in the world and the bar at the top of your screen always show where to go.
- Right-click again mid-speech to skip ahead if you read faster than they talk.
- Each chapter pays money, items and XP. Finishing the whole story pays a bonus.
/storyopens your journal and tells you which chapter you are on.
If the bar says "Find <name>"
You have not spoken to that chapter's villager yet, so the task has not started and nothing you do will count toward it. Go and talk to them first. This is the single most common reason a counter appears stuck at 0.

The villagers
Most villagers keep a second job once their chapter is behind you. Clicking them opens whatever they trade in — the builder sells blocks, the miner sells tools, the beastmaster sells pets, the cardinal opens your daily streak, the priest opens the dungeon board, and the blacksmith repairs your gear.
